Pasta Evangelists – Combining Technology & Hospitality
Background
Pasta Evangelists began in 2016 in the founder’s kitchen with a clear mission: to bring fresh pasta and sauces to the UK market in a way no one else was doing.
The journey grew organically. Pasta Evangelists started as a home-delivery recipe kit service, then expanded into hot food delivery via pastaevangelists.com.
From there, the brand opened six flagship restaurants, with plans to expand and franchise further. Today, customers can enjoy their fresh pasta in multiple ways: at home, on the go with takeaway, or by dining in person at one of their restaurants.
“One of the important things we look for in a partner is the relationship. It’s all about people at the end of the day. And that’s certainly something that we found working with Kurve that has made it easy. Kurve are a great bunch of guys.”

Evolving the Customer Experience
The brand recognised that customer behaviour varies widely, and no single approach would meet every guest’s needs. Some diners are looking for a quick lunch on the go, while others want a long, social evening meal with friends or family. Understanding these differences has been central to Pasta Evangelists’ approach to service design.
Key ways Pasta Evangelists caters to this diversity include:
- Full dining experiences: For guests looking for a longer, more leisurely meal, attentive staff guide the experience, supported by technology to enhance efficiency and consistency while maintaining a human touch.
- Quick lunch or takeaway: Customers can place orders via kiosks or online, allowing them to grab a meal quickly without compromising on quality.
By tailoring service to these different scenarios, Pasta Evangelists ensures that every customer enjoys a consistent, high-quality experience, regardless of how they choose to interact with the brand.
Technology acts as a supportive layer, enabling staff to focus on hospitality and engagement rather than operational logistics, ensuring every visit feels seamless and memorable.
“The platform is simple, customisable and that’s one of the important things we needed to achieve, and Kurve helped us do that. We’ve worked very closely on improving the system, helping tailor it to what we’re looking for. And that’s been one of the really good successes of the partnership with Kurve.”

The Role of Technology
Technology is a critical enabler for Pasta Evangelists, helping the brand deliver a seamless experience for both customers and staff while improving operational efficiency. As the business grew from recipe kits to delivery and now multiple high-street restaurants, the need for a robust, flexible technology system became clear.
Importantly, Kurve is designed as a complement to staff, not a replacement. By handling operational complexity in the background, the platform allows team members to focus on engaging with customers, answering questions, making recommendations, and delivering the personal service that defines the Pasta Evangelists experience.
Overall, technology at Pasta Evangelists is not just a tool, but a strategic enabler – helping the business scale efficiently while enhancing the quality of both operations and customer interactions.

Why Pasta Evangelists Chose Kurve
Pasta Evangelists took a customer-first approach to technology, defining the experience they wanted to deliver and selecting a platform that enables their signature hospitality from ordering through to dining.
Kurve stood out because it could meet these needs across multiple dimensions:
- Embedded technology from day one: Kurve was implemented a full tech from the outset, including EPoS, self-serve kiosks, mobile order & pay, kitchen display screens, and order collection screens.
- Simple, customisable, and flexible: Kurve’s platform is easy for staff to learn and adapt, allowing the brand to maintain a high-quality experience while scaling operations.
- Seamless delivery integration: By integrating with third-party platforms such as Deliverect, Pasta Evangelists can manage delivery and collection orders across major apps including Deliveroo and Uber Eats from a single system.
- Collaborative partnership: Beyond the software, Pasta Evangelists worked closely with Kurve to tailor the system, optimise workflows, and improve efficiency.
By prioritising both technology and people, Pasta Evangelists turned Kurve into a strategic partner driving growth, efficiency, and customer experience.
Data-Driven Operations
Kurve provides real-time insights across all restaurants, enabling Pasta Evangelists to make smarter, faster decisions and run operations more efficiently. The platform gives the team visibility into every aspect of restaurant performance, from menu trends to inventory levels, allowing them to anticipate demand and respond quickly to changing customer needs.
With Kurve, Pasta Evangelists can:
- Monitor menu performance and product availability: Track which dishes are popular at different times of day and ensure key ingredients are always in stock.
- Track stock, gaps, and oversupply to reduce waste: Make informed decisions about inventory to minimise food waste and maximise profitability.
- Manage table service and order flow efficiently: Streamline operations to ensure orders are fulfilled promptly, whether for dine-in, takeaway, or delivery.
- Analyse customer behaviour to enhance experiences: Use data to understand customer preferences and tailor service and offerings accordingly.
By combining data-driven insights with a focus on hospitality, Kurve allows Pasta Evangelists to maintain consistency, improve efficiency, and deliver the high-quality experience customers expect at every visit.
“The future for Pasta evangelists is very exciting. We will expand to over hundreds of restaurants in the UK. We’re also looking at expansion overseas. Our journey with Kurve has been really fun and interesting. We’re learning a lot, and long may that continue. I would definitely recommend Kurve to other operators.”
